CANDIDATES!
On Thursday night, May 9, 2019, the New Rochelle Confederation of Neighborhood Associations and
the New Rochelle Citizens Reform Club will host its annual "Of Budgets and Candidates" meeting. We
have invited Thomas Ryan, Interim Assistant Superintendent for Business and Administration, to
present the New Rochelle City School District budget for 2019-2020 and Thomas Geoffino, Director of
the New Rochelle Public Library (NRPL), to present the New Rochelle Public Library budget for
2019-2020 as well as all of the candidates who are running for a seat on the CSDNR Board of
Education and the NRPL Board of Trustees. For a copy of the proposed 2019-2020 CSDNR budget, go to

All candidates for the CSDNR BOE and NRPL BOT are also invited to
attend. Each candidate will have 5-10 minutes to make a presentation of your qualifications, backgrounds,
aspirations, and agendas for seeking office and the opportunity to mingle and speak personally with

BUDGET PRESENTATION
On Thursday night, December 6, 2018, the New Rochelle Confederation of Neighborhood Associations and
the New Rochelle Citizens Reform Club will host Charles B. Strome III, the New Rochelle City
Manager, to present highlights of the New Rochelle City Budget for 2019. For a copy of the proposed

on
the proposed City budget for 2019 will be held on Tuesday, December 4, at 7:00 pm, in the Council
Chambers, City Hall, 515 North Avenue, New Rochelle,

NEW RO SNOW ANGEL
PROGRAM
New Ro Snow Angels is now taking applications from strong, able-bodied young people, say, 14-34
years of age, who are willing to volunteer their time to shovel snow from steps and sidewalks for
older or disabled persons who cannot. New Ro Snow Angels is also taking applications from older or
disabled persons who cannot shovel snow and would like the assistance of someone who will volunteer

NRCoNA
MEETINGS
NRCoNA meets each month (except July and August). In November/December, NRCoNA co-sponsors a joint
meeting with the New Rochelle Citizens Reform Club for the purpose of hearing about the proposed New
Rochelle City Budget. The April or May meeting (depending on timing) is also co-sponsored with the
New Rochelle Citizen Reform Club for the purpose of hearing about the proposed school and library
budgets and hearing from the candidates for School Board and Library Board. The Annual Meeting is
held in May, at which time, officers for the following year, July 1 through June 30, are elected.
